RARE ARCHBISHOP MAKARIOS COVER: Feb. 1957 env. endorsed on the reverse "Archbishop Makarios, Seychelles" and with the embossing "Archbishop of Cyprus" on front. Sent from Mahe, cover is addressed to Athens and was sent via Cyprus for Censorship (having violet circular Cyprus No.3 Censor mark & tape). On 9 Mar. 1956 Archbishop Makarios was deported to Seychelles and remained there until Apr. 1957. Soiled & torn, but a very rare cover. Cross Reference: SEYCHELLES
