AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY BANDSMANS' SCIMITAR.
With a 67cm curved, fullered and pointed blade, the handle with decorative scrolled bar and lion's head pommel. The red leather scabbard with stitched reversed seam and mount rings to the outside of the curve to keep the sword clear of the bandsman's legs. 80cm overall length,
With painted museum identification 'Bandsmans' Sword 1800' believed to be Ex National Army Museum.
