1844-53 COVERS MOSTLY WITH A SINGLE 1d RED: An interesting group of covers (88) plus a few large pieces bearing mainly plates between 40 & 95 with numeral cancellations inc. plate 69 LB on 1846 E to Tunbridge with a watery "Mayfield/Penny Post" hs 13 Oct 1844 EL to South Shields with "BENMORE" UDC. 1847 E to Blairgowrie with"PITT-STREET" UDC. 8 Oct 1845 E from From Burwash to Battle with a clear strike of the "BATTLE/4" skeleton ds on reverse. 18 Nov 1850 env to Great Malvern with a fine circular framed "MORE/TO/PAY" hs. A good lot with some fine four margined examples.
