Star lot : A magnificent black slate mantle clock by Japy Frères. An eight day example designed in the Empire style with Doric columns and a brass frieze. Furnished with a porcelain dial and original glass face. Complete with two keys and pendulum. Stamped to movement with maker's badge and date 1878. Beautiful example in super condition.
