AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY FORTY TWO TILE PANEL HAND PAINTED WITH COCK AND HEN PHEASANTS IN A WOODLAND CLEARING, signed to the bottom left tile A Slater, mounted in a later wooden frame with pine and plywood backing, all tile backs enclosed, each tile measures 6 inches square, overall image size 90cm x 105.5cm, frame 99cm x 114cm, provenance: the tile panel was purchased by the vendor's family from the Grand Hotel in Birmingham during a refurbishment of the dining room (Condition report: there is a stained crack in the third tile from the left in the top row and also through six tiles in the left hand corner)
