1840/1936 Commonwealth mint and used collection housed in two printed Imperial albums (the GB pages have been removed) with most areas well represented. Typically, the earlier issues tend to be used with mint coming to the fore from later QV and EDVII onwards (many items are to be found both mint and used). Countries of note include Australia with used ‘Roos to £1, Sydney Bridge 5/-, most KGV ‘Heads’ and commemorative sets, Bermuda and Barbados, Canada with useful used earlies and most spaces filled from 1898 to 1936. Also Capes, Cyprus, Dominica, strong Gambia (mint sets incl Elephants), Gibraltar incl EDVII to 4/- and KGV to £1, Gold Coast with QV to 20/-, mint EDVII to 10/- with KGV to £1 and 15/-. Used Hong Kong, India with some States, comprehensive Malta with each of the 1926/30 sets mint. Early used Newfoundland is followed by mint sets, solid NZ, mostly used, Nigeria incl 1936 to £1 mint with Northern Nigeria EDVII and KGV to 10/-. Also useful Rhodesia, St. Helena, St. Vincent (complete EDVII and KGV to £1 mint), Sarawak, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Straits Settlements etc. Australian States are running throughout, as are 1935 Jubilee sets complete mint (ex Egypt, some also used). The collection has been painstakingly catalogued by the vendor at close to £90,000 (with nothing defective or under £5 included) and presents a wonderful opportunity to acquire a fine and substantial Commonwealth collection
