Astronomy, Scientific Interest, 8 Inch Newtonian Telescope, Tube and Optics, 72" Focal Length, comprising of , Telescope tube (length 6' diameter 10"), Main Mirror , needs re silvering, (8" Brunning of Holborn), Main Mirror Holder, Secondary mirror assembly (flat needs se-silvering), 3 Finder Scopes (2 with Brackets to be re-fitted as required), Eye piece holder assembly. 6 Eyepieces, Ramsden 1 1/2" Focal length 48x Magnification, Orthoscopic 3/4" 96 x Magnification, Orthoscopic 1/2" 144x magnification, Tolles 1/3" 216 x magnification, Orthoscopic 1/4" 288 x magnification, Tolles 1/52 360" magnification. Requires a new mounting as original Altazimuth mount was damaged beyond repair many years ago. The Telescope was made in the 1950s and has been in the possession of the vendor since 1963, who acquired it with the Help of the Late Sir Patrick Moore (astronomer) who was a family friend
