A PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY COPELAND PARIAN FIGURES OF 'SARDANAPALUS 662 B.C.' AND 'THE QUEEN OF SARDANAPALUS 650. B.C.', modelled by Austin Hays, both figures standing on a rectangular plinth, impressed marks to side and rear of plinths including to the male figure 'D81' and the female figure 'N82' heights 31cm and 30cm (2) (Condition Report: he has a glued repair to the upper arm, restoration to the hand holding the sword and to the sword which has cracked where it has joined the body, the Queen has restoration to the vessels and hands and a chip to the back corner)
