An Indo-Persian Iron Kulah Khud Helmet with Figural Roundels and Kufic Script.
A finely crafted Indo-Persian iron Kulah Khud helmet featuring a rich decorative scheme of etched medallions and Kufic inscriptions. The domed skull is encircled by a broad band of calligraphic inscriptions above an attached aventail of iron chainmail. Prominently displayed across the surface are multiple circular medallions, each enclosing scenes of mounted warriors, wild animals, and foliage, framed within floral interstices. The forehead is protected by a riveted nasal guard, which is surmounted by a tapering central finial delicately adorned with vegetal motifs and a prancing feline.
