Books have not been assessed for completeness. General condition notes -

Ledger - Very good overall condition. No more than one quarter filled, with light wear to covers.

The Search for Franklin - Plastic protective cover loosely affixed. Upper cover with staining over much of its surface. Wear to head and foot of spine. Discolouration to endpapers. Ownership inscription in ink to first free endpaper. Pages very crisp.

The Voyage of the Vega - Covers worn. Bumps to corners, with tears to the cloth. Tears to endpapers at hinges. Ownership inscription in pencil inside front cover. All folding maps are present, with the larger examples all having tears. Pages generally good, with light marks occasionally.

Voyage to the Arctic in the Whaler Aurora - Wear, marks and fading to spine/covers. Corners bumped. Academic presentation bookplate partially torn from first free endpaper. Text block split early on. One plate badly creased. Pages otherwise, good overall, with light marks to edges.

The Andree Diaries - Dustjacket taped at edges, causing discolouration. Cloth good, with minimal marking. Light foxing to page edges. Top edges coloured red. Pages/plates generally good.

Kane's Arctic Explorations - Some wear to covers at corners and spine at head and foot. Paisley Industrial School presentation bookplate pasted to front free endpaper. Map of Kane's discoveries inserted loose (torn and creased). Soe discolouration to endpapers. Otherwise, pages generally good.

Recent Polar Voyages - Covers very worn and dirty. Fraying to cloth at corners. Front free endpaper lost. Splitting at hinges. Folding map present, though torn. Pages generally yellowed throughout but still fairly crisp.

Life of Shackleton - Wear to spine at head and foot. Some fraying to cloth at corners and edges. Discolouration and marking to endpapers. Pages mostly clean, save for spots of light foxing towards endpapers.

Andree and His Balloon - Wear to head and foot of spine and at corners. Ink gift inscription to first free endpaper, dated 1904. Light foxing to pages throughout. Pages are deckle edged and appear quite rough (possibly with losses) at points. Endpapers split at hinges.

Home of the Blizzard - Spine sun-faded. Wear to corners and head and foot of spine. Light foxing throughout, particularly to page edges. Three folding maps present and in good order.

Round About the North Pole - Spine faded. Cloth marked in numerous places. Endpapers split at hinges. Light yellowing and foxing to pages throughout. Some discolouration to endpapers.

Through Siberia - Heavy wear to covers, with tears to cloth and much fading to spine. Ownership inscription inside front cover, bookseller's annotation to first free endpaper. Light foxing at points - and generally to page edges. All maps present and in good condition

Arctic Adventure - Fading to spine. Bumps to corners and head and foot of spine. Small tear to final endpapers at hinge. Henry Sotheran label inside front cover. Annotation to first free endpaper. Pages generally good, with light foxing to edges.
