R.M.S "Labrador". 1899 Cover from Canada to London, the stamp washed off, the imprint of a 5c stamp on reverse, with a Glasgow G.P.O Officially Sealed label tied by datestamps of Glasgow (Mar 10) and London, the front with violet boxed "DAMAGED BY IMMERSION / IN SEA WATER" and manuscript inscription "Went down in the S.S Labrador, mail bags picked up off the Isle of Mull" probably written by the recipient. Also a front from St. John's, Newfoundland, to Glasgow, the stamp washed off and replaced by another 5c stamp, datestamps of St. John's (Feb 16) and Liverpool (Mar 15) and scarce violet "RECOVERED FROM WRECK / OF S.S LABRADOR", stained.
