Two similar brass candlesticks, probably Spanish, later 17th century; both with long cylindrical socket and faceted tapering and knopped stem, to a dished circular moulding on a square base, 15 and 14.5cm high respectively; and a third example, also probably Spanish, late 17th /early 18th century, with knopped stem, the square base with raised edge and on four feet, 16.5cm high LITERATURE: See Ronald F Michaelis, Old Domestic Base Metal Candlesticks, Antique Collectors' Club, 1978, figs.143 and 147 for similar examples
