A FIRST WORLD WAR PAIR AND PLAQUE TO THE LIVERPOOL REGIMENT. A Great War pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 242809 Pte T. Ormerod L'Pool R. Plaque to Thomas Ormerod. Ormerod, an Oldham man who was married to Sarah, served with the 6th (Rifle) Battalion, he died on the 30th November 1917, a day when the Battalion suffered heavy shelling and machine gun fire, initial reports suggesting 9 officers missing, 1 of the 'other ranks' killed, 25 wounded and 223 missing, he is commemorated on the Cambrai memorial. Plaque in cardboard cover, sold with copied research. *CR Victory Medal ribbon lacking. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
