A FIRST AND SECOND WORLD WAR GROUP OF EIGHT TO THE ROYAL MARINES, NAVAL DIVISION AND OTHERS. A group of eight comprising 1914-15 Star named to Deal 1483-S-Spr G.E.T Treneary, R.M. War Medal and Victory Medal 236159 Spr G.E.T. Treneary R.E. India General Service Medal 1936-39 with North West Frontier 1936-37 and NWF 1937-39 clasps named to M-1858827 S-Sgt G.E.T. Treneary I.A.O.C., 1939-45 Star and War Medal, Indian War Medal, all unnamed as issued and a George V Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on India suspension to S-Sjt G.E.T. Treneary I.A.S.C. George Edward Thomas Treneary was born on the Isles of Scilly on the 1st March 1897, the family lived at The Parade, St Marys, Scilly Isles. He joined the R.N.V.R. at the age of 18 on the 25th March 1915. During the First World War he served in Gallipoli and on the Western Front, on the 31st January 1917 he left the Royal Marines and joined the Royal Engineers. His Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was awarded on the 5th April 1935. Mounted for display with copied history.
