2009 Waterkloof Circumstance Chenin Blanc (750ml) x 5 bottles - Provenance: Restaurant Mosaic Wine Cellar Collection

More Information

Circumstance Chenin Blanc is produced from vineyards in the Helderberg area. Incredibly careful selection from biodynamic old bush vine vineyards which have reached balance in growth and production through time. The vineyards are close to the ocean. The wine spent ten months on the lees and was matured in small French oak barrels.Circumstance Chenin Blanc has some wonderful toasty aromas, with hints of fresh apple. The palate is soft and creamy with citrus and a wonderful textural minerality, waxy lanolin notes and honey. Lovely palate weight and Vouvray-like body supports further complexity and decadence. Back label reads '"Who does the best that circumstances allow, does well, acts nobly, angels could not more." Edward Young. 'Ultimately, only a wine that respects its sense of place and the happy combination of fortuitous circumstances that mould individuality will truly give pleasure. Unique circumstances of soil and climate, traditional winemaking techniques and careful maturation in small French oak barrels were the keys to this truly fine wine.'
