Royal Air Force RAF Officer's Full Dress Parade Helmet circa 1921-39. 

A rare example of the flying helmet-inspired "Busby" headdress by Burberry's. Black chromed leather skull trimmed with black nutria fur. Plaited gold and pale blue cord festoon to front. Black patent leather chinstrap. Bi-metal badge and blue-grey ostrich-feather plume in woven gold bullion socket. Overall GC with slight wear . . . .Full dress was introduced in 1920, the busby followed in 1921 however the badge did not obtain official approval until 26th January 1923. Full dress was discontinued at the outbreak of WW2.
