A CHINESE ELM WOOD ALTAR TABLE, SHANXI PROVINCE, 19TH CENTURY. Of rectangular form with stepped frieze supported on four legs with paired stretchers. Painted four characters to the frieze reading Cheng Xiude Tang. Provenance: From a local gentlemen purchased in 1999. Width 98cm width x 49cm deep x 86cm tall.

Condition: In good order with no signs of damage or repairs. Surface wear to note from use and age.
