Overall of good bright gilt colour, probably re-gilt at some point but now a little toned down and with some rubbing showing a mauve tone from beneath as well as some flaking showing the white gesso, the top crest has numerous small cracks running through the moulding but looks to be intact, glass plate of quality but probably a later replacement.
