A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE SERVICE CORPS. A Great War pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to T4-172702 Pte E. Perry A.S.C. Edward Perry was husband to Nellie Perry of Fox Hill, Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield. He served with the 59th Div Motor Transport Coy Army Service Corps. On the 11th November 1918 he was taken ill and he died of influenza and broncho pneumonia on the 18th November after 1 year and 9 months service with the field force, he is buried at St. Andre Communal Cemetery, north of Lille, he was 29 years old. *CR Normal light surface marks.
