A giltwood figure of Buddha: Laos / Lanna, probably early 20th century, the standing figure with long arms to his sides, dressed in an antaravasaka, flaring at the ends, his face with a downcast expression and arched brows, a tall flame issuing from the ushnisha on his tightly curled hair, on a modern stand. (32 cm high).
* Condition: Old repairs to lower left arm and feet (one foot with an obvious break remaining and large flake from gesso to reverse) - these areas have been re-gilded. Small chip to tip of flame.
