George Angus of Aberdeen. A George III mahogany eight day longcase clock, with plain case and arched silvered dial, engraved with flowers, strike silent, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, movement with anchor escapement striking on a bell, W.49cm H.214cm
Overall in good condition, the case of a rich reddish brown mahogany tone, a little lighter on the trunk door, probably had some sort of finials at one time looking at the holes in the top of the hood, escutcheon to hood door is loose with no key for the original lock, dial and movement in very good clean condition just a little oxidisation on some of the silvering, comes with pendulum and two cast iron weights, trunk door has a small loss to the top left corner, lock has a working key, base of the case looks to have been reduced.
