Ackworth School: a fine and very detailed Medallion needlework sampler worked in polychrome by Eliza Paul,1806, featuring 22 medallions or sprays of flowers, mainly in rows of three, depicting a swan, a pair of doves, a single stylized bird, a dedication “EP to MP 1806”, further half medallions forming a border at the top and down both sides, further initials “F S T” towards the top and “E D B” near the bottom, “R, L K, H and O” scattered around along with small and varied additional motifs, approx. 44.5 cm by 33 cm, in period frame, Quaker family provenance available with family tree
