An 1876 Martini Henry socket bayonet. The fullered triangular steel blade stamped WD under broad arrow mark, E under a crown above 27 date mark 9/85, a struck out 7 1 1 under an R mark, also stamped E 47 under a crown date mark 1/88 and a BR 45 under a crown, the scabbard stamped WD under broad arrow with E 12 under a crown.
