Attributed to Arthur Simpson of Kendal. Arts & Crafts oak side cupboard with plain pediment and carved frieze above cupboard with pair of double panel doors with lily motifs enclosing a tray and flanked by square tapered columns above projecting serpentine front with four short and two long drawers below on bracket feet, 137cm wide, 163cm high, 66cm deep.
Top band edge with tiny chips. Fading and chip marks surrounding twin doors. Both side supports with snapped crack at base (but all there). Bottom edges and sides chipped and stained. Feet rather worn and faded, but overall, a nice piece.
