An English porcelain pot pourri vase with inner and outer cover, possibly Flight, Barr and Barr, circa 1815-20, the dark blue ground painted with a named Irish view of Downhill House and Mussenden Temple in County Derry, opposed a smaller rectangular panel of a gilt star surrounded by richly scrolling gilt foliage and grapes, square pedestal base, titled 'Down Hill, Derry, Ireland, Sir H.H.A Bruce Bart' in iron red to the base, otherwise unmarked, 34cm high (restored, a.f.) Footnote: Sir Henry Hervey Aston Bruce, 1st baronet, was an Irish priest who died in 1822 and was succeeded by his son, James. Condition:Some old restoration to a full break to the stem above the pedestal, which has now weakened - the vase is currently only attached to the base / stem with sellotape and it will need restoring. The pot pourri liner has old stapled repairs. Two small areas of paint wear, to the sea and one just below one of the smaller buildings. Some small knocks around the edges of the base.
