A 1964 DATED ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SLIP SIGNED BY KARL DONITZ, he was Adolf Hitlers successor as head of state in may 1945 and held the position until Germany's surrender to the allies, he played a major part in WWII whilst he was supreme commander of the German Navy, he was jailed after the Nurembourg war trials but was released in 1956 and eventually passed away in 1980 aged 89, this was previously sold at Sotheby's London on 3rd/4th December 1992 and was part of lot 359, Customers must satisfy themselves prior to sale in regards to conditions and authenticity, viewing is advised, condition reports are available on request
