from London towards Port Adelaide, 13 May - 27 July 1848, 11 leaves only (the last page ends mid-sentence), pen and ink drawings at foot of each page (from p. 4) and one page with 2 illustrations, Constance left London carrying emigrants to Australia. On almost every page the mileage, latitude, and longitude are mentioned along with a humorous description of the crossing of the Equator (illustrated) and a christening (also humorous). The Constance eventually docked at Melbourne after 79 days sailing, unbound -- 7 ¼ x 4 ½ in. (18.5 x 11.5cm.)
