AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY SET OF FORTY LEAD FIGURES FORMING A PROCESSION, possibly of Dowager Empress Cixi, French, forty hand-painted lead figures, the majority wearing a coolie hat, four paired figures carrying a hand-painted and beaded palanquin two carrying lantern parasols, the remainder bearing various pennants and three figures with poles over their shoulders musical instruments, lanterns, pikes, etc., and three figures with poles over their shoulders each figure 4.5cm- 5cm high to a maximum 11.5cm (41) (Condition Report: the set has been stored in cotton wool and odd bits are still stuck to the metal, one of the drummers has blue tack holding the drum and one drumstick in position, the other drumstick is missing, areas of paint loss and some bases are wobbly on a flat surface)
