John Yardley (B 1933) - Late 20th century watercolour painting, titled 'Adjusting The Stirrup', featuring figures with horses at a horse race style landscape scene. Signed by the artist to the bottom right corner. Framed, mounted and glazed. Measuring approx. 45cm x 54.5cm.


John Yardley is a British painter known for his naturalistic depictions of landscapes, interiors and street scenes. Yardley has cited Edward Seago and Edward Wesson as major influences on his work. He never received formal art training and worked as a banker for most of life, but then in 1986 he devoted himself to a career in art and is now a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in watercolour and frequently exhibits at the Royal Watercolour Society and the Johnathan Grant Gallery in Auckland, New Zealand.
