Jamaica 10 Shillings dated 1st November 1940, portrait King George VI at left, in 1941 the SS Politician cargo ship left Liverpool for Jamaica with 290,000 of these notes, the ship hit a sandbank off Scotland and the cargo was salvaged by locals and these notes entered circulation, prompting the demonitization and change of colour to Purple for new issue, serial C/10 578356 (BNB B107b, Pick38b) cleaned & pressed about VF
