A climber’s folding anchor used by the British Special Operations Executive in operation “Harling” known as the Battle of Gorgopotamos in Greece
during WW2. The mission, in cooperation with Greek resistance groups
destroyed the heavily guarded Gorgopotamos viaduct in Central Greece
on 25 November 1942. Provenance: The grandfather of the seller was a
participant in the operation.
