A worksplate, WILLIAM BEARDMORE AND COMPANY LIMITED, No 310, DALMUIR WORKS GLASGOW 1927, from a LNER N7 Class 0-6-2T No 2647 which entered traffic at Kings Cross in July 1927. Renumbered 9687 in 1946, it became BR 69687. Its only other sheds were Hatfield and Stratford from where it as withdrawn in December 1960 and cut up at the nearby Works. Cast brass, 8½"x3¾", the front lightly polished. The worksplate is complete with a small portion of the steel plating from the loco and mounted on a polished wood block. The three pieces can easily be unscrewed. (Postage Band: C)
