A Chinese Carved Libation Cup with Dragons and Taotie Mask, with Character Marks to the Base.
A dark caramel-toned libation cup carved from horn in high relief, featuring sinuous dragons clambering around the sides and curling over the rim. The surface is adorned with archaistic taotie mask motifs and angular fretwork. The foot is hexagonal and incised with a seal mark at the base, possibly indicating the period or origin of the piece.
