A King's South Africa Medal with South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 clasps named to 2877 Pte H.T. Phillips A.O.C. He fought in South Africa having been recalled under special army order of 20.12.99 receiving £6. 15. 0 as a South African War Gratuity.
