A 5 shot 54 bore Tranter self cocking percussion revolver, 11½” overall, barrel 6½”, London proved, the frame engraved with scrolls and “No 4,147T”, with Tranter marked 2nd type detachable rammer, and chequered walnut butt. GWO & C, retaining approximately 70% of original finish; in its green baize lined fitted mahogany case with circular brass lid escutcheon, containing a double cavity 54 bore bronze bullet mould, Dixon copper powder flask (retaining much original lacquer, no spring), nipple key, turn screw, cleaning rod, pewter oil bottle, tins for “Lubricating Bullets” and “Lubricating Composition”, with printed labels, and tin for Eley percussion caps for “Tranter’s Patent Revolvers”, with printed labels. GC A nice complete set. £2000-2500
