Louis Ward (1913 - 2005) - x4 pieces of detailed, mixed media, original paintings by Bristol artist Louis Ward, believed to have been created for an unissued series of cigarette cards in the mid 20th century. Featuring illustrations to accompany Asian proverbs, such as 'The Physician who cured the striped tiger became it's first meal', 'If all get into the sedan chair, who will be the bearers?', and others. All mounted and framed, measuring approximately 21 cm x 16 cm, including the frame.
