Automotive interest. Very unusual car radio design by Kresta Electric Co. c1947. Consists of sun-visor mounted vertical tuning knob with light up station names, under dash mounted speaker and cabling. This radio was restored to working for the current owner but has not been tested by RWB auctions. The small English company Kresta marketed this radio in 1947 and promoted its sun visor mounted dial as a vehicle safety feature stating that the radio stations could be tuned without having to take your eyes off the road as was usual for dash mounted radios. Ultimately the design never sold well and they appear to have stopped marketing them less than a year later.
