Early 20th century carved oak revolving bookcase of octagonal form, the four-side panels adourned with heavily carved Gothic decoration, with adjustable wooden shelves, raised upon original castors, 82cm high x 52cm wide x 53cm deep
Consigned by the family of Tom Hunt of Oakridge, who worked with Harry Davoll, Harry Gardiner, Fred Gardiner and Alfred Bucknell, all shown in the photograph of the painting by Sir William Rothenstein.  The bookcase has always been known by Henry Davoll within the family, but unmarked

Surface scratches, scuffs and knocks to the wood. Areas of fading and discolouration, minor stains. Section of moulding loose with small area of loss. Some moulding at the top has splits. Small chips to the corners of the top.  General wear and tear. See photos.
