A CARVED ROCK CRYSTAL PLATES , NORTH INDIA, 18TH-19TH CENTURY
Bowl:Of slightly oval lobed form, on short foot, the exterior carved in relief in form of petals in a lotus design, on a flowerhead carved oval foot, two handles at the sides in the form of gently curving leaves. Plate: Of rectangular form, standing on an oval short foot, central roundel with a carved motif of a lotus flower, a bird-shaped handle. Bowl: Of oval lobed form, a phoenix-shaped body with a floral bouquet in the centre, lobbed rims, the handle in the shape of phoenix.
