TRIO OF EARLY CAPE FRANCAIS (LE CAP) HANDSTAMPS: Inc. 5 Mar. 1781 EL from La Rochelle to Port au Prince. Rate marking of "2e" (escalin) in manuscript and a small "CAP" hs applied as an entry mark. 17 May 1788 EL to Le Havre with straight line hs "CAP FRANCAIS J. St. D." and 20 sous charge mark in red on reverse. Also, early 19th C. wrapper to Toulon (?) rated "8" and charged 16 decimes at destination, having a large "CAP." hs of type known used between 1801 & 1803. All very fine. (3 items)
