An Art Deco platinum star sapphire and diamond cocktail ring, the oval cabochon six-ray star sapphire approx 14.52 x 12.25 x 7.75mm, in four diamond-set claws, flanked by two principal old cushion-cut diamonds approx 3.8mm x 3.6mm and 3.4mm x 3.3mm, the gallery and shoulder pave and millegrain set with eight-cut diamonds, ring size I1/2, unmarked assessed as platinum, total gross weight approx 10 grams
*Good overall, the ring has been resized, the sapphire has movement in the claws but is secure, abrasion to the sapphire commensurate with age, there are a few incipient cleavages to the stone, diamonds good and all settings are intact, there's a very minor stress crack to the metal next to the bottom diamond of the shoulder where it meets the shank (probably due to resizing), overall a wonderful ring
