From the owner:
This is a late50’s early 60’s sign painted Power name rather than glass raised letters. It has a later stick on attachment saying 'Regular from the mid 60’s when petrol grades changed and there was premium and regular. Power became the regular brand and National Benzole the premium brand. This particular pump top ws installed at Stan Smiths garage in the village of Batcombe from new, stayed there long after Stan stopped selling petrol and used it as a bus depot and was given to my mother along with the 'Not for Resale' top which was on the pump for the diesel for the coaches in about 1985.
