A worksplate, MANNING WARDLE 1230, 1892, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST new to Carr & Co, later Carr & Co Ltd, Biscuit Manufacturers of Carlisle and named DESPATCH. It later went to J. Richardson at Little Mill Quarries & Limeworks near Alnwick, Northumberland and was scrapped in about 1951. Engraved brass, 11"x6", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: B)
