Two mother of pearl fans, the first c 1910, the monture pink, the cream silk leaf backed with cream gauze, the recto with delicate painting of flowers, and pink ribbons, the borders embroidered with tiny sequins to complement the flower basket and bow in the centre; together with an earlier fan, the monture of burgau, the cream silk leaf painted in pastels with a floral spray, guard approx. 24cm (2)
The burgau fan has old repairs to the guards and the later fan has some light damp crinkling to the leaf, bottom right.
