A Chinese gilt decorated black lacquer games box, mid 19th century, the cover decorated with figures amid pavilions and trees or in boats, the interior with seven lidded compartments and various card or counter trays, 38cm wide, slight faults

Some flaking and losses to the lacquer work around the border and edges of the cover and to the under side of the cover. Some splits and losses to the corners of the base of the box and to the inner flange, feet lacking to base of box, otherwise in reasonable condition
