An important heavy late George III Irish silver Teapot, by James Le Bas, Dublin c. 1818, the body heavily embossed and engraved with scrolls, flowers, shells etc., the flush hinge lid with flower finial, the spout with bird beak, and head of bearded man, the handle shaped as a female nude figure on four ball and claw feet, with engraved shield shaped coat of arms, and motto 'Mors Potior Macula' (death rather than infamy), approx. 39 ozs.
