John Pyle Toomer was killed in action serving with 3rd Siege Bty on 22nd September 1916 and is buried in Ovillers military Cemetery. With 3 copied pages of WW1 service papers, Soldiers Died, CWGC and Boer war details, he was born in Wincanton, re-enlisted for General Service 1/9/14 stating 9½ years former service in RGA, new number 1433, resided Southampton.
