A LARGE EARLY VICTORIAN SILVER VINAIGRETTE
by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1844, rectangular with a shaped outline, the hinged cover and base with engine-turned decoration, the gilt interior with a pierced and foliate engraved grille, presentation inscription to the cartouche. 4cm by 3.7cm, 1.1 troy ounces
The marks are clear. The hinges are in good order, and both the cover and the grille close well. There is some age-related wear to the engine turning, but generally, the viniagrette is in good condition.
