Antrim Militia (Queens Royal Rifles) glengarry badge circa 1874-81. Good rare die-stamped blackened brass crown resting on QUEENS scroll over a Maltese cross with lions between the angles. Top arm inscribed ROYAL, the other three in Gaelic, circlet ANTRIM RIFLE CORPS with Hand of Ulster to lined centre. Brass loops North and South. VGC Raised in 1793 at Randalstown. Became 4th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles on Friday 1st July, 1881. Gordon Cummings Collection.
