A World War One death plaque or Dead Woman's Penny to Dorothy Bateman Maddocks, 'She Died For Freedom And Honour', diameter 12cm. 

NB - Dorothy was born in Redditch and was worker 35056 in The Queen Mary Auxiliary Corps. She was killed on 14th October 1918 aged 17 and is buried in St Mary's The Virgin Church, Stone near Kidderminster.

The plaque is rubbed especially to the wreath above the name and has remnants of a white stick tape to the reverse and a small nick to the edge only visible from the reverse.
